Neon lights glow through the science of excited atoms. When electricity passes through a sealed tube of neon gas, electrons jump to higher energy levels. As they return, they release energy as vibrant light, creating dazzling displays in cities worldwide.

About

My name is Eric, and I got started playing TTRPGs in 1983 with the Mentzer Basic D&D box set. I’ve played and ran Basic/Expert, 1e, 2e, 3e, 3.5, 4e, and 5e. Along the way I’ve played or ran Call of Cthulhu, Middle Earth Roleplaying, Gamma World, Vampire the Masquerade, Paranoia, Deadlands, TSR’s Marvel Superheroes Roleplaying, White Wolf’s Aberrant, and a smattering of others.

I’m currently interested in OSR stuff, like Black Sword Hack and Old School Essentials. I prefer rules-lite, homebrew friendly d20 games like Index Card RPG, Synthetic Dream Machine, and TROIKA! to crunchy beasts like Pathfinder 2e.

This is my Twenty-sided World, a collection of house rules and game ideas that use that big, juicy d20.
